Fred

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Fred is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner born and raised in Miami, proudly of Haitian descent. He’s been practicing as a PMHNP for the past three years, building on a strong foundation in psychiatry with prior experience working alongside psychiatrists and mental health teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

His passion for mental health comes from a personal place — growing up, he witnessed my own family struggle with untreated mental illness. That experience pushed him to step into this field not just as a clinician, but as someone determined to break stigma and create safe, supportive spaces where people can heal and truly express themselves.

In addition to psychiatry, he is also a dedicated artist. He has painted murals across Miami and Orlando, including a powerful piece in collaboration with the Wolfson family for a low-income housing development. His art has been auctioned to support causes like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and he’s used his talents to mentor incarcerated youth, lead art-based rehabilitation projects, and organize toy drives for underserved communities in Miami.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Bethune-Cookman University and his master’s from Walden University. He proudly serves as a preceptor for Florida Atlantic University, mentoring future PMHNPs.

He believes that healing should be creative, culturally sensitive, and grounded in trust. He integrates therapy, education, and the arts to help people feel understood and empowered in their mental health journey. His mission is to help individuals reclaim their voice and build a future they feel proud of — one session, one conversation, and one brushstroke at a time.
