Katie
Katie is a CADC II and ICADC with a strong foundation in substance use counseling and a personal connection to recovery. Her lived experience, combined with years of professional work in treatment centers, gives her a deep understanding of the people she supports. She doesn’t just talk the talk- she’s walked the path herself and that shows up in the way she holds space: with honesty, compassion, and zero judgment.
Katie has worked with a wide range of clients and adapts her approach to meet each person where they are. She leans into client-centered therapy but draws from multiple modalities depending on the needs of the moment. Whether she’s facilitating a process group, helping someone navigate a tough relapse, or just sitting in the mess with them during a hard session- Katie shows up fully.
She believes recovery isn’t just about stopping behavior- it’s about rebuilding trust with yourself, redefining what’s possible, and learning how to live in your body and your life again.
Outside the counseling room, Katie is usually planning her next trip with her partner or getting lost in a book that makes her think (or cry- ideally both). She also finds peace and perspective in nature and often turns to the outdoors as a source of grounding and renewal.
